I love the physical process of forging steel. Knowing that the almost magical transformation from a lump of metal to a work of art is due to a combination of my strength and skill is immensely satisfying.

I prefer smooth curves and flowing shapes to straight lines and hard angles. I aim to create elegant forms which convey a sense of growth or movement. My work tends to be quite abstract and, although I know what inspired me, I like to leave interpretation up to the viewer as it is fascinating to learn what each piece means to different people.
